bubble_chart Preparation and Dosage

Pueraria Root (Radix Puerariae) 12gm (4 liǎng)
Ephedra (Herba Ephedrae) de-noded 9gm (3 liǎng)
Peony Root (Radix Paeoniae Alba) 6gm (2 liǎng)
Fresh Ginger Rhizome (Rhizoma Zingiberis) cut 9gm (3 liǎng)
Liquorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae) roasted 6gm (2 liǎng)
Chinese Date (Fructus Jujubae) split 12 pieces
Cinnamon Twig (Ramulus Cinnamomi) peeled 6gm (2 liǎng)

Take the seven ingredients on the right, boil them in 2000cc (one dou) of water. First, boil Ephedra and Pueraria Root, reduce by 400cc (two sheng), remove the foam on the surface, then add the other herbs, and boil to obtain 600cc (three sheng). Remove the dregs, and take 200cc (one sheng) warm. Cover to induce slight sweating, no need to drink porridge. The rest should follow the Cinnamon Twig method for recuperation and contraindications.

Note: This formula includes Ephedra, which makes it equivalent to Pueraria Decoction. However, the original text mentions "aversion to wind after sweating," which suggests that Ephedra should not be used. Therefore, this formula should be Cinnamon Twig Decoction with the addition of Pueraria Root, and should not include Ephedra.
